Hope someone can help

I will be fitting some of the BM QD connectors soon to my 1150GS
Question is can they be fitted any way round / do they flow both ways.
When i got them i took a photo with my phone of the connectors on another GS. But the photos are to dark to see the connectors correctly.

yes either way is fine... just remember to put them opposite ways round on each line so its not possible to mix up the feed and return lines when you reconnect them.

Did mine at weekend , as advised it put them opposite way round ,no problem . BMW are now selling metal ones . Fitted tank in matter of mins with this fixture .

+1 I got mine from Sherlocks

Were these not standard then? I have had my 1150 for a year and it came with them hence the question.
However, just went back to BM as there was an old recall outstanding on these due to leaking and they replaced with new ones for free. Yes free. BMW gave something away for free :D

Thanks Guy's for the advise

Makes since fitting them opposite way to each other, guaranteed i would get them mixed up one day if not.

The ones I've got are the metal type so hopefully as up to date as BMW do.

The bike is a 99 1150GS I've had the tank off a few times over the years
and always thought it a pain without the QD connectors.

Just male part . Was just as easy for me to get from BWM as the postage was extra .Price was near the same .

Mine just "quickly released" most of my fuel onto the first trail i did on it since fitting them with shearing off... awesome.

Being replaced with a bit of brass tube and a couple of worm drive clamps me thinks!

I used to carry a bit of that too, I have a spare one if its the flimsy plastic type you need.

cheers mate but itll just go again as soon as i go offroad again. Ill just fit the tube. I have no need for the quick release fitting anyway.

Had a look at the connectors
and as Stewart said only the male part is metal
the female part is Black plastic.
