Ebay fuel line connectors

I've just ordered the same ones from aliexpress, I'll let you know how I get on.

Send Mikeyboy ( on here ) a message and ask what ones he uses.
He put some on mine when he did some work to it and they’re fantastic quality and not cheap ones. :thumb2

I tried the eBay fuel connectors and the internal shut off plunger fell out when the connectors were disconnected, happened a few times, so I removed them and complained.

Best ones are…
Rectus type 21 6 +8 mm size, sold in Germany, for fuel!
Top quality , made in Germany.
Smaller in diameter and much easier to feed under the tank,
Thight and snappy fit, needs lubricating prior to
Been using for years.. also tried the larger ones from EBay, really bulky and of lesser quality.

Where do you get the Rectus connectors please? The ones in the link appear to be similar to the ebay ones.

There are some around on E Bay that are identical looking (plastic) to the BMW ones , however they aee definitely not rated for fuel injection.

As an aside I noticed on both the 1150 and on my old KTM1090 (both fitted with genuine connectors ) that after a couple of years and 9 or 10 disconnects the O rings swell due to modern fuels and stop the connectors snapping back together.

They seals are now part of the official KTM service schedule so I ended up buying a small bag of the uprated O rings to swap them every 2 years.

These have a good reputation (a bit pricey, but you only want to do this once) and UK based in case there's any issues.

That’s interesting, thanks Neil.

KTM 350 EXC ones might be an option and have a filter. We regularly remove the tank for cleaning the bike and change filters, they've been trouble free.

I've just replaced a leaking one with a 'genuine' plastic one off eBay, which looked identical to the original. It was so much worse.
So, just bit the bullet and ordered the eye wateringly expensive metal ones off eBay.

Fingers crossed.

I bought some off aliexpress, they are identical to the ebay ones but half the price, so far so good, they let out a tiny bit of petrol when disconnected. I've taken them apart and put back together several times and they seem OK, I did grease the o rings with a bit of vaseline, not sure if they are viton but if they go I can probably get some viton ones to go on.
