How do I update the details in my unit so that they show the latest addresses/locations for BMUU dealers. My local dealer moved premises ages ago and his details are wrong.

For your info he's here:

N44 52.432 W0 33.790

Bonjour.

My guess - strictly a guess - is that this information is contained in the CityNavigator map CD, not in the system software that runs the GPS. So, whenever a new release of CityNavigator comes out, it will update automatically when you purchase and install the cartography. The current release of CN Europe is version 6, which is what I suspect was shipped in the box with your GPSR.

If you are having trouble locating your dealer, you can probably find the dealer's address on the bill of sale you were given when you purchased your motorcycle.

Hmm? Drole! :P

Software V 3.80
Audio V 2.1
Mapsource V 6.3

"BMUU Motoradd" is listed in the"detail maps info" page as a map set, along with"European city navigator version 6"

If I "enable" the BMUU map set or dis-able it BMUU dealers are still found. But the enable/dis-able function works for the euro mapset? i.e. It can be switched-off

The BMUU mapset is not shown/available on my computer when the GPS is connected? It can not be downloaded nor can any dealer locations?

I'm not overly concerned about up to date dealer locations anyway as my m/c will never go wrong!!!???

Bonjour.

Correction

My guess (above) was wrong - the database of BMW dealers is burned into the EPROM of the GPSR when it is manufactured. So, if it is to be updated, this will have to be done by a system software update. Perhaps this explains why BMW maintains their own download site for Nav I and Nav II software.
