BMW 650/800 with no faults

No real problems after 34.800 km [21624 mls]

F800GS [80 yrs spec. edit.] aug 2010 - 21624 mls.

It's not a F...GS problem, because chains do wear off, but mine is at it's end of tour .... it's still the OEM one, I think it will be replaced [F800GS is away for maintenance now - 'winteraction']. But I may say that it's not to bad, such mileage with the OEM [not the best] chain ........
I've driven a lot in rainy conditions, not much offroad.

Only other problem I have [a bit] is some moisture within the smaller lamp-unit. It was during the colder days, yesterday when the bike was picked up, it was about 9 degrees celsius, no moisture then!!!!
So, don't think the lamp-unit have to be replaced.

I asked the mechanic to look after the rear bearings, I don't feel any specific movement, but I know that this doensn't mean there isn't, for my 2006 F800ST I had before had bearing problems, which I couldn't feel ...... but the mechanic did!

No further problems whatsoever, no recalls untill now, never ever had such a wonderful trouble-free bike :).

It's a pitty it's away for maintenance - have to wait until tuesday/ wednesday before the GS will be brought back.

So next week I now if there was a bearing problem or not.

You'll be better off worrying about the other lunatics on the road than your bike! :eh
:) think I'm the lunatic here ....

Bike is back - they cleaned it very well - last time it was cleaned, was at it's 20K [km] maintenance :P

Only the chain and sprockets have been changed. They checked the bearings and it is OK!

So - a very very good bike without problems :beerjug:
And now when it's so clean and with new chain it's a new bike ;-)

Rode out of the dealers at 0830 on launch day (if not a wee bit earlier)

Fuel level sender
Rocker cover oil leak
Cutting out after they changed the software

That's it.

Must be all the post launch bikes :nenau
