BMW Andorra -Thanks

Just back from a week in the Pyrenees during which one of the bikes, a 1200RT, developed a "shudder" under hard use of the front brake. A bit of a problem given the continuous supply of twisty mountain roads.
As we had stopped in Andorra overnight we took the bike to a local BMW dealer, cars and bikes:
Pyrenees Motors SA Sant Julia de Loria.
Despite a regular flow of pre booked vehicles coming in, they summoned up an English speaking employee who translated our problem to a mechanic.
They immediatley took the bike away tested it, checked all the components and reassurred us that there was no danger in continuing to ride the bike.

Charge for over an hours work €55 - a bargain. Compare that to the UK.
Excellent service.

I'm sure it would have been free in the UK, sounds like brake judder caused by warped discs therfore under warranty!!!

Hope you had a good time in the Pyrenees was there last September great roads for the GS . Don't think much to Andorra though too much traffic still the petrols cheap!

So did the dealer do anything other than road test the bike? Still even if they didn't its nice to be told its OK to ride, gives a bit of peace of mind

Agreed the roads are just about as good as they get. I think better weather and more compact than the alps.
Dealer test rode, then took the brakes apart identified a warped disc as the problem, ( unfortunately didn't have a replacement) and confirmed it was OK to ride, which was the big bonus with over 1000 miles still to do.
