Out of pocket to the tune of £25. Ordered advertised pipes and collector box from BMW Bike Bits for R100GS:-

I ordered by phone so that I could confirm parts and prices. They supplied the pipes, but could not get the box. I was not going to pay £209.40 for pipes alone when I could get them from Motorworks for £60 cheaper. Returned pipes in post, costing £18.50. I got a refund for cost of pipes and collector box (not supplied) -£209.40. The guy said he would cover return postage, but didn’t. They also failed to supply exhaust gasket that had been paid for. I’m out of pocket £25.80 as a result. I say don’t advertise products if you can’t supply them. All this took ages; poor communication (never replied to a single E. Mail) and poor service. Went to Motorworks and had all the bits I needed 2 days later. I’ll be sticking with Motorworks and Motobins in the future. Service from both has always been superb.

Sorry to hear you've had bother with them. I've had nothing but good experiences with BMW bike bits. It's run by one guy in the back of an aprillia workshop. He doesn't hold much stock so a lot of the time he has to get the stuff in from his suppliers first, hence the long waiting times. He always seems to be very busy, I find just calling is better than sending emails with him.

I understand you're annoyed about the return postage, but you wouldn't find many companies offering to pay return postage at all unless something was wrong with the item. As for the gasket, I'm sure if you ask again he'll realise the mistake and refund you.

Anyway, Just my 2p :)

Just had the opposite

The guy opened up especially for me on a Saturday afternoon (He's not a chelsea or Man U fan either :D)

All the bits I wanted were in and we chewed the fat while the credit card went through..

I'd recommend them.......
