You could try the SMMT (society of motor manufacturers) and they may have the figures?. They do the numbers for cars and trucks but not sure abut bikes.
Not quite what you asked but in the UK you can see registration stats athttp://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/bmw_r_1200_gs shows the MU 1200 GS for example.
Other place I would look would be either press releases by Motorrad Germany / US or their annual results - depending on the group setup it should be in there.

The registration figures can be seen on the Motorcycle Industry Association website. They list each month going back to January 2010. For example, the number of new BMW registrations in July 2012 was 347.
I too like to see a British manufacturer doing well, we have seen several of these new Triumphs out here so far this summer. The figures however might just include dealer demonstrators and other pre registered bikes-car manufactures have doing doing this for years to massage the figures.
Good luck to Triumph though it looks a well thought out bike and very much suited to touring if not the off road stuff. The vast majority of GSs we see here (including mine) never go off road so maybe the have it right. I suspect a lot of owners though like to think they could go off road if the wanted too and like the image of the rough tough adventure bike.
