Just had it confirmed that DVA (MOT folks) are selling off ther x Driving Test BMW RT'S at Wilson Auctions Mallusk just north of Belfast next Tuesdasy 22 march from 10am onwards.

They are selling 4 Older BMW 1000ccRT' Classics the last of the "air heads"

Also for sale 3 BMW 1150 RTs

All have full BMW service history but may require some work / MOT'd to make them fit for the road as most have been sitting up for months.

I was hoping to slip out of work at lunch time .... In the event that the 1150s were to be going for cheap money. I was bringing my flexible friend, but alas, never made it.

Anyone here buy one, or better still, know what they fetched..... Should I be kicking myself?

3 x airheads app 50K miles £900 each Last one @ 42,K miles was about £1100 ish

2 x R1150RT twin sparks £3400 plus one at the finish £4100 ish the second one on sale was the tidiest bike fetched £3400

All those prices were plus 10% commission and the commission was liable for VAT

so £1000 became £1220

Jay,
That's some camera you have on your phone - The RTs looked a bit rougher in the flesh.....

Aye Phil I was thinkin that when I posted them You can;t really see missing panniers missing fairing box covers , You can see that Bolloxed tyre on one of them, rusty headers Missing Bleed nipple

Split seats Batteries all stuffed and none of them heard running

Fine for an enthusiast but not one to make shekels off if you were of a mind to

No JJ didn;t buy anything

I have a couple of very worthy and special bikes for Phil to look at

Sounds spensive nuff......

I was thinking the 1150's would need to be under 3500..they were dear enough by the sounds of the condition

BS

1150's weren't overly dear but by the time you added 10% plus vat on that they were Borderline especially as they probably needed new batteries with being stood for a while too?

(plus they were servo brakes pooh!)
