BMW City 2 or Summer 2

I'm thinking about the summer 2 ones so would be interested in peoples thoughts too.
Mate of mine has both and reckons the City trousers are much better. Just got back from a week in France with two other riders and we all had City trousers on.
City trousers
I have the City trousers and have had the summer trousers too.
For the UK, i generally wear the city trousers due to it being cooler here. If i was touring in warmer climes and stopping for lunch etc the Summer ones are really good as you can slip yer boots off, zip the legs off, unpack your flip flops and sit and have lunch in relative normality. Neither are waterproof, so if you are going to use them as everyday trousers, you will need some overtrousers.
The thing i really like about both, is that they have cargo pockets, which are sooooo much more useful than normal pockets!

The Summer Trousers are definitely cooler when it gets very hot (I have the Summer "1" trousers). You must try them on to check that the location of the knee armour will be satisfactory - no problems with the hip armour for me.
Just bought a pair of summer 2 in Amsterdam - the weather over the Easter week was really hot and I walked around Amsterdam for a few hours and they were really nice. When we got back to Blighty we went for a posh lunch, I wore a musto shirt and a waistcoat and they looked the biz. Only slight complaint was the zip off zips were a little uncomfortable when riding but after a day I got used to them.
I have no experience of the city tousers.
P.S I took the protective armour out as I do with all my trousers - I know, I know

Thanks for the opinions..
Well I went to my local dealers yesterday and I can honestly say that the summer trousers and the City ones were a big dissapointment! 
Not what I was expecting at all. Didn't like the material of the summer ones, couldn't seem to adjust the height of the knee armour at all. Oh well, I ended up with a new Halverssons suit instead!
