Hi Lads, this thread is to you to let you know of a BMW Club Irish Section first, we are having the Boreen Run on
the June bank holiday weekend instead of the usual August Bank Holiday weekend. One of the reasons for this
is to avoid the clashing of two very similar and enjoyable events, the Boreen Run and the Riders Rally..
The Boreen Run has been a flagship event on the BMW Club calender for the last 11 years and this year we
are bringing it to County Clare. The route will include some of the most scenic rural roads in the country passing
through parkland to mountains and eventually coastal areas. T.J. and myself will start the run on Saturday
morning in Mountshannon, Co. Clare (Sat Nav Coordinates: 52.932515, -8.431849), the road type will be twisty
Boreens of the type that made this event so successful over the years through East Clare to the Coast then northwards.
If you're not a member of the Club you can join here: http://www.bmwclub.ie/page7.php

Full details of the run are available here http://www.irishboreen.com/page2.php and you can book your place on-line
here: http://www.irishboreen.com/page6.php

Places are limited and we need final numbers for the Hotel in Kilkee for the Saturday and Sunday nights so please
go to the website and book your place.

Any questions you can reply here.
Hope to see you there, Daithi.

See you there.
Might do the Riders Rally this year as well, as they don't clash. :thumb

Daithi, where are we staying on the Friday night ?
:bounce1:bounce1:bounce1
Mountshannon Hotel.:thumb2
There's a festival on that weekend in Mountshannon so we should have a great start to the weekend, only thing is that the hotel is filling up fast and we got a very good rate for Bed and Breakie, €37.50 Per Person sharing, there is a surcharge for a single room...

The contact details for their receptionist, Dara, are below, don't forget to say you're with the BMW Club.

This attractive spot is one of very few south-facing waterside villages in the area - and the harbour is just a short stroll from this modest and friendly family-run hotel.

There's a welcoming fire in the bar and the many fans who were disappointed by the recent closure of Noel Lyons' restaurant in the village, will be delighted to find that he has since opened The Harbour Restaurant in the hotel. (Booking well ahead will be necessary).

With the traditional Keane's pub and shop also across the road, too, it's a village worth knowing about when visiting the area

Closing date for this is TOMORROW (Wednesday) at 6:00.

Two days of Stunnning scenery and a really enjoyable spin. :augie

Meeting in front of the Mountshannon Hotel at 10:00 for 10:30
Forecast is good for both days I'm told, see ye there.

Just back.
Brilliant weekends boreen riding in Co.Clare.
The good weather didn't do any harm either but it would have been a great spin even in the rain :aidan

Well done Daithi for all the effort that went into this :thumb2
:clap :bow :clap :bow :clap

Well done all organisers :clap:clap.....even Daithi :D
This was brilliant.
The roads were excellent. Hardly a white line to be seen on a road all weekend. Pace was really enjoyable, as were the many tea and lunch stops and the hotels.
Bodes well for next year as T.J. has acknowledged that the bar has been set very high for him to match. :bounce1
Even the RT riders whose abilities were challenged had grins on their faces.

Excellent.
