Some time ago I reported that my ABS refused to arm on my 02 1150GS. Then it went to red ABS lights on constantly. A useful reminder that the ignition is still on as I cruise down the road...
Anyway - after much discussion on this site about DIY resets, which I couldn't get to work, I decided to drop into my nearest BMW spot who offered to put it on their computer thingy and diagnose the problem in a jiff. After an hour and a half of trying to make electronic contact with my bike however, they finally gave up. Apparently "they do that sometimes Sir." They tried both of their "GT1" machines but still no joy. As to my ABS - No computer diagnosis apparently means no fix. I have the bike back with no means of a repair in sight because the BMW test thingy wont talk to it. Only positive thing was No charge from the dealer despite 90 minutes of Saturday afternoon, dangerously close to a certain footie match.
Anybody else experienced this phenomenon (No - not the No charge bit - the Computer link bit) - and survived?
