Hi guys

I recently bought a BMW connected Ride (device), as I thought an upgrade from my Nav 5 might be a wise move......perhaps not?

I can happily design a route in MyRoute App on my computer, save it and then transfer it via a cable connection and drop the file into the file folder on the device. He ho I'm up and running.

First question is.......when I'm using that route and inadvertently miss a waymarker how do I dismiss it and let it get going to the next one? It buggers my route up not being able to do it, the Nav 5 had a simple cancel a waymarker button.

The next challenge I've been having is trying to get a route onto the device without having a cable connection.

I have the MRA app on my phone and the BMW connected ride app on my phone too.

So In theory I can design a route on my phone, or if away with a friend, look into their folder and select a route. But I've googled a few instructions and cant seem to be able to get the file from the MRA app on the phone to the device.

I'm sure if I remember correctly the Nav 5 allowed a bluetooth methodology to get it across, not apparently the Connected ride.

I'd be grateful for any instructions fit for an amateur techno like me : )

many thanks

Ali

Thank you, I'll have a look, I did search for BMW connected ride but clearly I didnt find this one.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks

I’ve given up using MRA and now just use the BMW Connectedride app for creating routes. These sync with the CRN once it is connected to the cloud. Waypoints can easily be skipped by toggling to the right and scrolling down to the skip waypoint option. Just back from my second euro tour with it and it has proved to be the best nav I’ve ever had. Apart from it sending me down one unpaved road, it has performed faultlessly and given me some really interesting route options.

Hi, very interesting comments, thank you.

Great to understand that by toggling I can find the skip waypoint option. Brilliant.

Since my post Ive actually managed to get a route from MRA onto the BMW connected ride app on my phone but for the life of me cant get it onto the CRN!!

I'll give the BMW app a go at creating a route, when you say these sync when connected to the cloud. Excuse my ignorance but how does that happen, bluetooth, or do I need a sim card in the CRN.

Again any help is very much appreciated.

Cheers Ali

Further to last does the CRN need to be on the bike to be able to connect to the BMW app on my phone. cheers Ali

No, it just needs to be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or if you have one, inserted SIM card. Bluetooth connection between the CRN and phone does not do this.
You also need to be logged into your phone app and CRN with the same account. When you then go to routes in the CRN, you should see it sync.
