Hi,

I have a friend using a connected ride cradle on a GS1300 on a regular basis and he is very happy with it. No issues with the phone or app. I have been using the directions on the screen which to be fair work fine however it would also sometimes be nice to have the map.

I know that this mount does have issues with certain bikes and phone combos. I also know that you must remove the case before inserting it.

So does anyone use the mount with a pixel 10 on a GS1300 on a regular basis and have you had any problems with it?

TIA

Not a direct answer to your question as I don't use the mount - if I were to go this route I'd remove the Nav mount completely and run a Quadlock with an anti-vibration mount and attach the phone that way keeping it in it's case. For the cost of the genuine BMW one (£200+) I'd actually go with an Android auto unit (Carpuride or Chigee). I've got the Chigee AIO-6 (£400+), but the Carpuride version is £220 on Amazon (W702BS) which gives you wonder wheel control but I've never used a Carpuride. I've a Pixel 9A that I keep powered in the tank storage unit on the GS and looking at the phone sizes the Pixel 10 will fit here also.

I paid £65 for a second hand connected ride and use my old Pixel 7 pro - with a large 6.7 inch screen I find it easier to use than Chigee AI-05 I had been using, plus also can use any routing app (BMW Motorrad app wasn't compatible with Android Auto/Chigee). Wonder wheel works well. Some people have said cameras can get broken due to vibration, but as old phone don't mind. My phone without case just fits, but no troubles on 1200 mile trip recently. Would always use a spare phone not main one, in case vibration causes problem, it gets nicked or falls off! Main phone is in the storage compartment, plugged in to usb and hotspot tethered to the other one

Had your old phone pixel 7 had any issues with the camera? I think pixel 7 and pixel 10 have similar camera setups.

I did actually look at that. The only problem is that I want to use the connected ride app and I don't think with any other mount than the BMW actually give you proper guidance on the phone. It just show the big map. Unless I am mistaken

I've also used a Pixel 7 Pro in the Connected Ride mount and used the BMW app as well as trying out Sygic, CoPilot and Here apps. No issues after several thousand miles.

Yeah, my understanding is if you want to run with their app you're limited to either the cradle setup with phone or their expensive Connected Ride Navigator unit.

No problems with phone or camera after limited miles so far, but is a spare so not so worried about any potential issues (cameras rattle anyway on pixels - which always seemed a worry but no issues!). Use TomTom amigo for normal routing (has good warnings, traffic, obstructions, speed cameras etc) but doesn't upload gpx files - so switched to BMW Motorrad app for that
