BMW Dealers europe

Hi there,
off to Franceshire touring and my mate e mailed me a list of all the bmw dealers in europe to load into my 2610 via mapsource.
When I open it in mapsource it covers almost the whole map in their names and locations. How do I load them onto my garmin without displaying all their info that clutters up the map on my gps. Am I being really thick here?

Load it and see what it looks like on your unit. If you don't like the result then delete them.

For use on your 2610 I would, using Mapsource, delete all the ones except from the areas you'll be travelling though and then upload those. You only have space for 500 custom way-points on that device and If you have others loaded for your trip you might run out of space.

To select using the arrow tool just drag over the areas you don't want, you'll notice that some of the POIs are selected in the Way-points column on the left, hit the delete key. Repeat this as many times as you need working around the areas you want to keep the POIs until you have what you need remaining.

Obviously save a copy of the complete set before you do the above.

Later Garmins with NT mapping don't have the same restriction is you upload large POI sets using POI loader.
