Went into my friendly local dealer again...
I wanted to try an Enduro helmet as the current helmet is past its use by date. I have an old System helmet so wanted to try one size for size.
They have none in. Discontinued, apparently. They only have the Carbon one available to order he says.
A couple of weeks ago I asked and got a mealy mouthed reply about them from another salesman and got handed a 2009 catalogue, large sized. Today again I was offered another 2009 catalogue which I declined and said I'd think about it, etc.
Then it was suggested that if another Dealer had one in stock they could order it in for me. Well, yes, but I could do that via eBay or whatever. Still not helping me out really to see if I like the idea of buying one. Apparently BMW have not made/may not make a 'successor' according to them.
So I sloped off to look at the bikes and as the salesman spoke to another guy, I found a pile of - shock - the smaller sized 2010 catalogues. Within it are pictures of the Enduro Helmet.
So, is the dealer correct or is there another variation to the tale? I guess also - are the helmets hated or rated?
