"Just bought me one of these.....

BMW Enduro Piccie

It's very very light, visor doesn't fog, quiet and the peak keeps the sun out a treat. "

See Stoney's post in the visor up-down thread.

Williams have one "for display only". Size bigger than I would want, but very light, very comfy. Thicker padding than a system 5, Peak is removable, but looks crap without it, exposes the visor mechanism, which looks kinda flimsy.
Chin vent is non-closeable, and appears to direct draught up the inside of the visor, two closing vents on the top. Peak appears more aerodynamic than full MX lid, can't vouch against tour-x. Would really like to try one out at 80+ in the rain, but I doubt they would let me. Doesn't look as wierd in the flesh as it does in the brochure, IMHO.
Not decided if I want one enough yet, will wait to see what they feel like in my size.

I bought one from Rainbow last week. It was their one and only one at the time and just happened to be in my size.

It's fitted with a chin curtain so air doesn't blow up inside. The chin is nice and deep and really keeps the neck warm. With earplugs (which I always wear unless I'm popping down the shops) it's as quiet as anything else so I can't complain. The deep visor is a treat for great visibility and keeps any fogging well down from the field of vision.

At £235 I can't complain - its dead light and looks great IMO.

dark visir on order from Eire.

A GSA?

How're you getting on with that GSA Stoney, did you trade in your GS12 for it? -I'm testing one on Saturday from Allan Jefferies

I wish!!!! That's AJs test bike. I really liked it. Smooth, agile and planted! I liked the height etc.

I've still got my 12 and am still really enjoying it (see todays pics in Yorks section). I just wish it wasn't corroding so quickly. Still thats what happens I guess when you actually use a bike all year round and spend more time riding it than cleaning it like some folk.

Let us know how you get on with the GSA. I assume you're 5ft 11in +?

I took it out on Saturday and went for a blast through around Otley/Poole and over the moors. I only had an hour or so in the end so took it around a little loop I like to take on Summer evenings. It was too windy to get a decent feel for it, I was getting blown all over (given its supposed to so good in the wind I wouldn't have liked to be on anything else).
Being only 5'8" I was nervous about the height and had to plan approaches to lights and banked junctions etc so this too was a bit off-putting.
It doesn't feel as quick as the 12 and I couldn't quite get into the gearing. Turned very quickly though and I suspect it might be the replacement for my 1150. I agree super smooth and my 1150 felt pretty cramped afterwards.
Where does your 12 rust?, I saw what looked like a pretty abused 12 at AJ's a couple of weeks ago and all the usual gs weak spots look to be holding up pretty well. (Rusty fasteners and paint bubbling on the engine block though  )
I'm going to test the GSA with a lower seat once I've persuaded the salesman they can put a regular 12 seats on it.
Thinking about regular 12 panniers as well they have the option of being slimmer (useful on the inner road every day!) and they don;t have to have the frames fitted.

The Leathley/Sun Inn loop I bet - I love it. Yorkshire's answer to the Nurburgring and a lot less busy!!!!!

On an adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're brave. I bet you had to do the old climb on it with the stand down malarkee...ooohhh how the IAM would love that...not.

All the usual weak spots - engine casing etc. Replaced under warranty so the chances are that a used one for sale will have had these done too!

I've out on my 12 a lot recently and it's a great bike...especially with a decent can on :bounce1

Enduro Helmet.

I might get one of these, I'll be passing through Germany in a couple of weeks, would it be cheaper to get it there?

Anyone else got one? How are you getting on with it?
