BMW F800 GS TAIL TIDY

hi paul here ,i am new to this site so excuse me if this post is in the wrong area.
i have just bought a bmw f800gs 2010 plate with 3,800 on the clock.
i am starting to do some mods on the bike, first beening a tail tidy has any one removed the number plate bracket and light mount? if so does it throw any fault codes up?

A tail tidy ? The F has a lovely back end, but still everyone to their own.
