Hi folks
Just wondering if anyone can help
I have a nav 5 Sat Nav with the 4 button cradle and wiring so all good.

I want to mount this to my F800GT and just wondered if anyone has a mount that would fit.

Ideally I’d like to fit it in middle of bars.

Does not need to be genuine BMW one as long as it fits nice.

Cheers V in advance folks

Here is a photo of the cradle I have so need mount for back

I have just a thing…

Pm including pictures incoming shortly. Just need to dig the thing out.

Hello there Bud

Yes I could probably make that work on the bike.
Buggers should have taken that back from you with that damage. Chancers

The issue I have is that I can buy the exact same mount as yours on EBay just now at £28 posted. It’s exactly the same. I have attached a screen shot for you so you know I’m not telling you lies.

So as you appreciate with the damage yours has and the cost you want it does not make sense.

If you want a tenner and say £4 to cover the post then I would happily buy it from you. But more than that for the £14 more I would be better buying the new one.

Up to you bud or stick it back in your odd and sods box.

Really sorry about at.

Shane

To be honest fella, I find your way of trying on for a deal, quite rude.

This has to be seen, to make it believable.

You have asked for help via this very thread.
I’ve got the goods, I’ve been honest with you in providing the information, description and ample photographs, for you to peruse. Have you had any other offers? Most probably a no, if the amount of responses you have had to this very thread to go by.

You are yet to show any signs of basic manners. Such as perhaps to say a thank you for going into trouble to respond, not least I went out of my way to find what you need, provided you with a link to a product to compare the costs, as well as I am including some extras that you would have to purchase separately.
You then go ahead, find an alternative listing on eBay, selling it cheaper compared to a first link that I have come across, which is offering you a further 10% discount if you place the order by 11th of August.
You are yet again without any consideration let alone basic manners, started to tell me what I should be selling my goods to you for, even down to the fact how much postage I should be charging, yet again with out a single please, thank you or any other form of politeness.

Not a great start dear fellow.
Perhaps, had you politely (including please and thank you) asked for me to lower my price based on the fact that you can get something a bit cheaper, then maybe, just maybe you would be a bit more lucky.
Regretfully, I say you go ahead and buy it from the seller on eBay, as I do not wish to be dealing with rude bods on here who are trying it on and are chancers. My offer has now been firmly withdrawn.
Perhaps a tell tale sign to me should’ve been your opening post.

I wish you the very best of luck in your Adventure. Break a leg, as they say. 😉

Hi there Evskiy

I’m going to respond to this once and try to tell the full story and bring this to an end. I’m not going to respond back and forth in public forums

I have used forums for many many years and have never experienced this. It’s the first time anyone has said I’m rude

But I am sorry if I have offended you as this was definitely not what I meant to do and apologise for this.

I posted a post here in wanted for a mount for my F800 for BMW Sat Nav.

I also put a post in the F800 section asking what sort of mount I could use.

You did respond yesterday afternoon and say you had something which was good and you would message me.

I received the message and photos which was great and thank you for that. I have now attached your message ( see below) so anyone looking at this can see the information so that we are transparent as my message back to you has been put on here.

So in your message you say you had the SW mount which had been fitted for less than a week. Great I thought. You indicated that you paid £50 for it.

You then advised that the mount had been scratched in various places when delivered by Infinity Motorcycles. Which you can see in the photos.

You tried to return but Infinity said you did it. Well that’s nothing to do with me I thought.

You offered to sell this to me at £30 delivered.

Being that I needed to check about the item as you indicated you used for a phone, I simply went on and googled the name of item and part number. So I could get full instruction to see if it would fit my BMW navigator 5 nav.

When I did this the item came up on the search for sale from a company on eBay who I have bought things from before. They have 7 in stock and were selling them brand new at £28 and some pence. This includes free post. There were a few came up at around £30 on Google new.

This was brand new and no damage and less than you wanted for yours.

I appreciated you came back to me however and I felt the best thing I could do was come back to you with a response to your direct message with a direct message which you attached in your post above.

I also included a screen shot however which you have not attached which showed the item. I did not go looking for it but I did need to find out if it fitted and googled for that reason.

In my message I sympathised with you for Infinity not taking back,

I indicated that the item could be purchased brand new for less than you asked.

The item had been in your odds and sods box in the garage you said.

I didn’t want to waste your time but it would not make sense for me to buy a damaged item for more as it’s scratched as per your photos.

I thought that the best thing I could do was to send you a message and be honest with cost of the item now.

Being that you came back to me I felt I should try to do something and made you an offer of £14, or said maybe put back in the odds and sods box in case you need it. It did not make sense for me to buy a damaged one which I may have to do something with the damage when I could buy a new one for £14 more.

I hope this now explains my position on this and again I apologise it I caused any offence which was not meant.

This all happened within a few hours last night.

I always feel I am polite but as I say if I did wrong then I’m sorry.

I do wish you had just messaged me so we could have discussed, and I could have explained my side without making this public.

As I say I trust this explains the situation and brings this matter to an end. I have used forums for all my bikes for many years and have never had any issue like this.

————————————————

Hi.

So I have this SW-Motech 28mm handlebar mount to take virtually any GPS mounting plate, including Garmin/BMW nav.

Here is eBay link to one.

Here is mine, having cost me £50 back in around 2018 when I was looking to mount my then iPhone 7 to the bikes handlebars, but it was a very short lived desire, following reports of cameras getting damaged by the vibrations from the bike. So I ended up removing the whole thing less than a week later, and kept it in my garage ever since.

The disappointing thing about the mount for me was that it has some damage, where the aluminium clamp was hitting the main mount (I guess in transit). I’ve purchased it from infinity motorcycles online store, thus chipping the paint in the process. See photos below. They were less than helpful in me returning it, claiming that the damage was done by me. Hence why it sat in the garage in one of my odds and sods box.

Mount does come complete and with instructions and I will also include 4 x stainless steel security Torx fasteners. Although I am not sure these will be long enough for the 4 button mount. Still these are included in the sale.

I will take £30 delivered to you by Tuesday/Wednesday next week.

Regards,

Ev
