having sat on them all at the intermot show i can confirm they are tiny :thumb

Are we talking tiny compared to yer typical Tosser or tiny compared to mere mortals? :D as I have to admit I rather do like the Hard Enduro.

i am only 5 feet seven in my bike boots, with a 31 inch inside leg and both the scrambler and the supermoto felt very small and particularly narrow compared to my old F650 dakar, but they also felt a lot lighter.
as for the hard enduro it is taller but the seat is as skinny as a razor blade so you legs are not pushed as far apart as they are on the dakar so it is a little easier to get at least one foot flat on the ground.

Thanks Mr Moto :thumb

I must say, looking at the YouTube vid of the SM, yes, it does look quite small.
Also seems to have very poor ground clearance :nenau Any way, will have to wait 'till the new year to check them out properly.

Had a sit on the new 650 range at the bike show last week and have to say ...................................
What a pile of shite. Plastic panels are mega cheap looking and very very flimsy and as for the slab sided under seat plastic tank-I've seen better quality looking water butts.
Sat on the 650 Dakar that was also on the stand and what a difference in the quality. Is the new 650 range made in China  it certainly feels like it.

Too many cc's for me.

Ok, they look reasonably good but the engine capacities are far to great for anything more than a gravel fire road or metalled green lane type road. I am trying to picture myself on the X Challenge up a half decent green lane in Wales but the 650cc engines is worrying me. I have an aging DRZ400 now, and I was hoping these new bikes would of been of similar engine size, well 450cc at a maximum, but no, but is there a smaller option coming?
BMW, I can wait a little longer for a 120 kilo, 40+bhp, 12litre fuel tank, >450cc enduro bike.
T.

Does anyone know - are these replacing the current crop of F650's? I think they are.

had a sit on all three of the new 650's at the nec today. Still not impressed with them.

the1200gs and hp2 tho :clap

I copuld quite easily see me owning a 1200gsa in the future. :D

Saw it at the show Sunday and I have to say it was the best thing there.
I'd love one, brilliant for Exmoor, try a few rallies and my commute, could just about get kit on it for a GS weekend but admit it would be trailered longer distances.

Anyone got £6000 to give away to a worthy cause?

Me too............I really like the late 70's ISDT BMW bikes and this bike is a close resemblance, in a minimalist way

Are you ever going to get it dirty though Johnny? I remember Hawes when you came out on the XR400!

Nice T shirt by the way!

No excuse for a dirty bike (ask Tarka)
