Hi!
First time here, but I have read forum couple years.

I need a cap to my assembly from X bikes (or 800GS,it have different wiring)
On old one, first from coupling where is four spikes, spike snap inside cap, hard to find why pump does not work, after that it started to leak from there.
I had to drill spike out (it was like Z, not straight, those couplings are no the same line in and out side cap.)
then put metalspike on hole and weld that plastic and try to put some different stuff on.
Because of shake welded point after few month start leak again.

If you or you know someone that have broken assembly or only unbroken cap, want to buy it.
I can get working X bike assembly(99pound from epay) 150e including post, but only need cap.

(cap = plastic plate where all stuff is on, not screw cap.)

Problem solved, hope so.

Hi guys!

Never find only that wanted part, so I tried once more fix it. My friend had leak proplems on his F 650GS on same part two years ago.
Wondering what he did, he told me about glue.
"Permatex PermaPoxy 5 minute Plastic Weld"

I made DIY 4 spike through with glue and now after two months no leaking.

Other leaking problem after open that "cap"(where ewerything is on, plastik plate) is rubber seal.
It stretch on gas and you should buy new every time you open cap. (Yes it's cheap, but will you carry spare on road.)

You put that two lips seal first on gastank, then everything else and seal go in tank on some edge and leak. You can see that seal from filling hole with light is it ok (not when full).
I fix it by cutting of lower lip. Now I can put seal on to cap and put all at once back to gastank.

Over 7000km and still ok. Once I thought now it leak, but it was gashose, that come away from feed pipe.
