Any good?

Comfortable to walk in if required?

Waterproof??

Feel like they will give good protection if the worst happens?

Worth the money?

Do i get charged by the question mark ????????? :augie

TIA

if you have big calves they are are a no no and not waterproof

Teeny weeny girlie Calves here:o

But the waterproof issue closes it i think, may as well go with a less expensive brand and wear the sealskin socks.

Thank for the quick reply:thumb2

They may not be waterproof... but they are super protective. I've had my GS1 boots for two years now and had a range of falls with no issues. I would suggest to be wary of cheaper boots that might have less protection.

I was thinking Alpinstars, OXtar TCS stuff, still supposidly heavy duty crosser boots but can be got at at lot less than £210:nenau

I dunno, protection is important, but if my feet are cold / wet / unconfortable then whats the point. Doing a trip down to Morocco in October but still have a week on the road before we get there, and when we come back, no doubt much of it in the rain:blast

I want a boot thats comfortable, waterproof and gives good protection! Why is that such a problem? Seems you can have 1 or 2, but not all 3

get a long pair of seal skin socks... you're waterproof then:D

the BMW's look like they would give great protection in an off...

depends how hardcore you're going you might find a compromise if your not taking too many risks

As far as I know there are no waterproof off-road boots. The Rallye GS2 are fine until you walk in to fords and then waterproofing is neither her nor there.

If anyone's interested I have a pair size 43 for sale. Open to negotiation:)

Compromise, compromises..............I just find mx boots (Gaerne) to clumsy on the GS - sure it feels very secure but just too big and thick for road use - I struggle a bit with gearchanges, I have adjusted the gearleaver. I tend to wear a pair of Daytonas most of the time - very comfortable, waterproof and with good protection.

I must say I do like the look of the BMW GS boots but I can't see how they would be any more 'delicate' on the controls than my Gaernes??

I have a pair. Used them for the Offroad course, and a trip to Morocco... (including a week commuting down and back to) I still put on my waterproof HG (not offroad) boots...

They are great protection, but not as comfortable (or easy to put on) as 'regular' boots.

I'll use mine again the next time I plan on some offroad.
