Hi,

I've just put a BMW tinted screen on my GSA and wondered if anyone sells tinted or black wind deflectors?

I know you can get them on eBay for the previous model but not seen them for the WC model??

Them peeps at BMW sell'em :D

Deflectors

Hi

BMW sell them. They are solid black rather than a perspex you can see through. Il that makes sense.

Mine are semi transparent: I can just see my fingers on the other side.

Part Number C77.33.8.545.881 £54.60 including postage from Allan Jefferies last week.

Ouch £54.60 for two pieces of plastic !! Think I will apply some window tint film to mine

I bought dark tint deflectors off e-bay recently for my 07 GSA12 for £33 delivered; made by a company called Slipscreen Ltd.....they are very well made....may be worth a look for the LC.....;)

Guys, thanks for your responses, didn't know BMW did them, doh!!

Right...next question is can you get a tinted lower screen peice? The small Perspex section above the headlight and behind the bottom of the screen?

I know what you mean and if you look below it's not that noticeable and certainly not worth ££

Cymarc does a powdercoated black metal deflector :augie

Cheaper option, remove the original and spray the underside black (i used satin) refit and it gives the tinted effect .

I read about some spray on vinyl that was similar to plastidip but better and £5 cheaper, from Frosts.
here
I wrapped my lower deflector with vinyl but this stuff could be the answer to both the wind deflectors and the screen one.

That 'Grinning GSer' headlamp protector looks nice!! Mind providing a link to the vendor please?
Thread here and for a little extra he'll engrave any txt that you like, just like mine above. Must be worthwhile to save your £800 LED light and very simple to fit.

Looks great!

Another appearance upgrade is to plug your crash bar ends and paint the metal attaching point!

Jim

That bit looks good in black. FYI, the rubber plug that fits on the R1150GS Adventure crash bars fits the R1200 GSAW too.

Are there any online vendors who sell these plugs?

Just google tube plugs, or frame plugs, and you'll find loads of options. I noticed you're not in the UK, but here you can buy a complete set of plugs for well under £10, if you look around.:thumb
