Do the BMW hanguards have integrated bar end weights?

From the looks of them they can't be used with the default OEM bar end weights, but I was wondering if the bar end part of them is actually weighted at all.

I'm more after weather protection and look as oppose to physical protection impact protection (since levers are designed to break in a certain area anyway, and are a lot cheaper than new handguards).

I have the BMW ones on my XCh and the ends are alloy or aluminium, so not much weight.

I also fitted some to GF's 2009 XCo - caution here as the clamps don't close fully so I assumed the 2009 XCo has slightly wider bars. I haven't bothered to measure.

One advantage of the BMW ones is that the guards are steel so more likely to save your levers in a tumble. Some Acerbis ones have an alloy strip but I've no idea if these fit the X range.

Last time I rode a bike without hand guards on the road (an R NineT :D) the difference in weather protection was evident.
