BMW headlight protector

Anyone ever tried one and what sort of cost are they??:)

They're about £40 and protect the headlight. :D

You get a replacement headlight rim with rubber sockets to accept the "glass"..

Cheers, there's one on fleabay but the w#nker wants to charge £15 postage, think I'll be in touch with the dealer. :)

Got one!

Great bit of kit if you are prepared to cough up the cash. My only criticism is you get some glare back from the inside surface when on main beam. Because I have HID's this exacibates the problem. Solved it by making this in a scrapheap challenge moment with the back of an old CRT television:hammer:

Got one the other day... great fit etc. but again got the reflection....

There's this at Nippy Normans

Its the same price at TT but £35 for a bit of plastic  It almost doubles the cost of the protector :(

Does your DIY one work Andy?

In fact, that gave me an idea.... I searched the garage for something the right shape, and found a TT tail tidy I'd not used, so cut it to size, used a bit of double sided foam tape to cusion it on the back of the bar, and a couple of cable ties

Result as follows

Yep! works perfectly. You don't need to go all the way round to the right hand side, just the big gap on the left.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think the Nippy Norman 'eyebrow' would fit over the BMW perspex protector.
