according to the press release sent to two wheel news it's running a
tube up front and a tubeless rear. just seems like an odd thing to do...

From what I gather(not a lot to go on normally 
)The front is a tubeless tyre,with a tube in it,and the back is a tubeless with,er,no tube in it.
What I can't figure out,is how they have laced a conventional rim onto the Mbw hub? Surely the spoke angles are miles out?The only way I can think of them doing it,is if they started off with a blank hub,and drilled the spoke holes to suit the normal rim.Any ideas? Just have to wait and see I guess.
Also,anyone know what the stand is in the press release photos?

The stand is a bmw service stand that you can get from your dealer.
As far as laceing conventional rims to the stock hub, it takes a special
pre-bent spoke. I had mine done with 4 ga. "monster spokes" made
here in the states...

Vern, did you actually manage to get the road wheel kit? I went into Vines at Guildford and enquired as to the availability, they said that I can't have them until end of June

Apparently all the dealers are getting a set sent out to them at the end of this month,so I'm having the set that BVM are due to get this month.It's just a case of wait and see I think.I'll let you know when they arrive.

£650. is incredibly cheap. I just bought a pair of ST wheels, front discs with ABS ring & a pair of tyres for exactly double that !!!!!!!!!!!! grab them while you can.

FYI.....as most of you BMW HP2 fans know; you can also use the BMW R 1200 ST/RT cast "mag" 17" wheels on the HP2 ( I just recently put them on my R 1200 GS) to hypermotard the bike....
Personally I like the looks of the ST/RT wheels more than the spoked versions on the HP2 motardo.........but thats just me....
DAYOTOYS, Does your bike have ABS???? and if so, do you get the ABS warning light stay on all the time?? or is everything normal?

These are modified touratech:s frames. I saw resently in a german magazine that Wunderlich will sell a complete kit. There new catalog will be out in the beginning of next month.

This weeks MCN have a feature on the HP2 supermoto. I have to admit it looks fantastic. Christian Pfeiffer doing a feet on the seat burnout on it. I like it a lot.
