Hi
Just upgraded my BMW iii with a iv unit. Have paired it with iPhone and shark tooth blue tooth helmet ear peice no problem.

So next I thought, lets try and upload some music - but can't see (bloody eyes must be going) if there is a data card installed (found where it ought to be) but just can't see it,

Does anyone know if the data card comes with the unit - or do I need to buy it separately ??
Also, has anyone ever managed to get music onto the unit and play it wirelessly through the helmet Bluetooth ??

Many thanks for your help.

buy separately uses micro SD, very cheap to get a 4GB one these days

Music plays at a very low volume that's because bluetooth isn't that great. Works but not great

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Bought he micro card - uploaded some music and yes it does play in the helmet via Bluetooth. It remains to be seen if I can hear it while on the move - but at least we proved the technology works !!
Cheers

If you wear ear plugs like I do then it is really not that great. if you are used to wired systems like autocom then nowhere like it.

I now just sing to myself .. much better :D

I use mine like this every day to listen to music via my bluetooth intercom on my commute. I have the volume on the intercom to max and the sound's loud enough if not exactly stunningly loud (I wear earplugs). I am thinking seriously about removing the intercom's speakers and wiring in my earplugs with built in speakers instead. I'm sure it'll be loud enough then :)

Connect earphone socket into the Bluetooth to speaker circuit and all works fine.

Done that on my system 6 and use ultimate ear monitors to hear everything clearly.

Can you connect earphone plug to system 6 bluetooth device or did you have to alter wiring or do you connect to satnav earphone socket?

On my Interfone F4, if I want to use in-earplug speakers (like the ultimate ear monitors) I would have to cut the wire from unit to speakers and patch in a socket for the monitors to plug into. I am not aware of any b/tooth unit that has this sort of socket as standard.

Question,
Am I right in thinking that a BMW Navigator IV is just a BMW badged Garmin 660 and if so would a 660 fit and work in a Navigator cradle?????????

Hi Chaps,

Quick question please :D

I have a Zumo 660 paired (bluetooth) with a Scala Q2, which in turn is paired with my iphone 4 (bluetooth)

My problem is everything works fine (receive/send calls etc) but when I play music on my iphone, it does not play in my headset??

Any thoughts please?

Thanks
