Not a lot of use for using wth an MP3 player when they get bluetoothed then
I like my autocom, it's bike powered, can handle phone, MP£ player and GPS voice commands, bike to bike and rider to pillion all at the sam time and only takes half a second to plug or unplug. I think it'll be a while before bluetooth can handle that lot and last for a whole days riding.
Autocom to get their corporate fingers out of their corporate back-passage and develop a Bluetooth interface for the mobile telephone connection!
I've asked them for this on several occassions - the last being at Ally Pally - when I was told that the wind noise makes it very difficult to perfect a Bluetooth connection.

I actually imagined that the tosser with whom I was speaking hadn't got a clue what Bluetooth is or does, but decided to bullshit an answer in any case!
I can get a Bluetooth mobile phone, a Bluetooth PDA which can play MP3's and also be used as a GPS system. However, is it possible to get a portable DAB radio with Bluetooth yet?
Greg, Starcom1 are working on bluetooth as we speak. They are also far more receptive to customer comments and feedback than Autocom appear to be.
Gavin Bell and I tested these units earlier this year and found them to be at least as good as Autocom in every respect and superior in areas such as rider to pillion coms.
Even so we passed on a few suggestions, on how to improve ease of use rather than quality, and it looks like most of these options will soon be avaliable. Keep an eye on their web site for the latest updates.
Starcom may not look like an option if you already have Autocom, but look at the price difference. Selling your Autocom would be close to funding a full Starcom1 set up.

Gavin also managed to negotiate a club discount, so mention UKGSER and they become even more of a bargain.
A search on here under starcom should fill in all the details.
