Just had a service and the full luggage (bloody ouch! - sorry, that was my wallet speaking) fitted by SPC and now am fighting to get the side boxes on and off. Can someone tell me the correct distance between the underside of the stainless steel pan headed locating bolt and the base of the mounting bracket. I have 19mm on the port side and 22.5 mm on the starboard.

Had the fuel remapping done at the same time - much smoother just above idle and cleaner all the way through to the redline. Recommend it.

I don't know the distance, but best torque them right and use loctite. The editor at CMG http://www.cmgonline.com/ has lost his bags while riding more than once.

Mine are set at 22mm and 21mm. Loosen the locknut and adjust the height half a turn at a time until you find the sweetspot for your panniers. Make sure when you fit the panniers, that you settle the hooks right down onto the hooks until they seat fully. T

I find that they pop off easily once you find the technique. For mine, that means lifting from one end, not straight up. If you have to wrestle with it, keep adjusting. Don't force it.
