BMW made metal cylinder head protectors DOHC

Hi all...

Quick question about this accessory (you know the ones found on pre LC GSA's). Thinking about getting a used set one day but just checking they aren't a known cause for anything like increased vibration. I asked as this boxer on my current RT is smoother than two previous DOHC GSA's I've had previously.

No they're excellent, they have rubber blocks where they fit onto the cylinders....
