BMW Meet 2004

Sorry, but I'm new here!

Has anybody been down to the BMW meet in Garmisch? If so is it worth going...Read a review in MC sports & leisure which seemed quite favorable but have not heard much else

Yes i went last year along with about 25,000 others and it was a hoot.Lots of stands,lots of beer,lots of mountains and unlike anywhere else lots of customised BMWs.My only complaint was that most of the stands were showing gear but not selling it.I tried to buy a visor for my System 4 and despite seeing 1000`s of them couldn`t buy one.
The ride to,from and around the area was great and if you do go i`d recommend a day in Munich to visit the BMW Museum - one of the most imprssive automotive museums in the world.

Thanks for the info....I did wonder about buying some goodies whilst I was there, looks like I will have to spend the money I haven't got somewhere else......or just blow it all on beer and sausages. Would you reccomend camping or hotel?

BMW Museum.

Agreed, money well spent, the layout and interactive nature of the museum is great, can take a few hours to do.
