BMW Motorrad event 1st - 3rd July 2011

Hi, just wondered if anyone has been to this before? - what was it like - the good and the bad etc. Any suggestions for top routes and camp sited along the way. Also, anyone else going, or thinking of going??

I'm going with Bryn and Casperfelix

I usually go every 3-4 years (having been to the original incarnation of the format, many times............ when it was run by BMW Club eV and hosted in different countries each year)

It's a good event, lots to see and do on the Friday/Sat...............it's a trade event/show where you can see all things BMW - beautiful venue and great Beer Hall entertainment every night

Camping is adjacent to the event in Alpine meadows, not sure of facilities, but there are definitely good toilets and more than likely showers

I would recommend it, but I like these type of events

Saturday daytime and evening is the best, although Friday night is not too bad either.

Hotels will be long sold out by now but the camping onsite is pretty good. Will be there for Saturday this year on route from Prague to Lago Maggiore.
