BMW Nav IV & System 6 Helmet A2DP issues

Hi, I'm hoping someone out there can help with this-
I have a Nav IV & System 6 helmet, they are Bluetooth paired so I get navigation noises & key press bleeps, but (and there always is one...)
When i try to fire up the media player I get this message-

"please connect headphones or an a2dp bluetooth headset to use media player"

The manual for the helmet says it talks A2DP, so no Efing clue where I'm going wrong..

Please help before it goes out of the window....

Fixed-
1) read manual
2) perform operations as per the manual
3) Repeat exact same actions till your blue in the face
4) Wonder why the fuck it worked this time....
