I have been using a Zumo 550 for many years with the speed camera database (CSV). i have tried loading the speed camera database both CSV & GPX and cannot see them on the map on the Nav V. Can someone please tell me what I have to do. Custom POI are ticked.

Thanks to a newbie Nav v owner

Had a similar issue, but they all appeared by magic when satellites were found and routing started. Don't know why, its just different but I'll bet they are there.

Working fine on mine, I downloaded them as CSV and pushed them onto the Nav V using POILoader.

Thanks both of you for your help. Sometimes the poi's appear and other times not. All a bit of a mystery.

I uploaded the latest csv's using poi loader, yesterday and again none appeared on the map screen until I started a route, from that point onward, the poi's are visible . (Zumo poi's were instantaneous) Every Garmin product has a different way of doing things and this NaV is no exception.

Ok I am failing to understand this as my NAV5 seems to be preloaded with speed cameras both static and mobile
so why do i need pocket gps as well ?

Pocket gps is an alternative and bloody fantastic and accurate, I must say. I am also on a free lifetime subscription which makes a difference to me so AM biased. Each if the types of cams are identified together with speed zoned warnings. They do slow me down, which must he a good thing. There are monthly updates fuelled by accurate public reports. I have no knowledge of the accuracy/ usefulness of the Garmin alternative .How often and by what means is the Garmin database updated?
The site also sends enthusiastic reviews of new gps based products and technical reports.

PocketGPS all the way, very accurate database maintained by an enthusiastic community. You can use 3 devices with a subscription and they have the free Cameralert app for android and iPhone that uses the database as well. I've been using it for years and it's never failed me.

Sent using random stabs with bratwurst like fingers...
