Is that good? Includes all the extra buttons, USA unlocked maps, power leads (inc AC lead), bean bag mount for car, power lead for bike, cigar lighter lead for car, 256Mb (I think) CF card etc. Price is $1499 - the 845 GBP (sorry no pound sign on this demned yenkee computah!) is derived from the exchange rate I got on my last Visa withdrawal ($1.78).

Mike:)

It is still more than twice the price of a normal Garmin 2610 over there Mick O, and your exchange rate looks a little low, I got some dollers for a holiday in Texas in June, while the rate is good and got $1.8130 at M&S NORWICH, with no commission. john.:)

Looks good to me if you don't pay the import tax and VAT on entry to the UK. If you do pay the it is in the £1015 area!

Yeah, just got that rate on my latest transfer :) The thing is, the Nav II is bike friendly (extra buttons etc) whereas the 2610 is less so. I think I'm sticking with the SPIII, as it does everything I want from a GPS, but, if I were to upgrade, I think I'd go for the Nav II rather than the 2610...

Mike O:

Do you plan to use the GPSR in Europe? If so, don't forget that you would need to buy a CityNavigator (or CitySelect) CD for Europe, if you buy a SP 26xx or BMW Navigator II in America. That is a very significant expense (the European CD as a stand-alone purchase).

PE: MikeO is already a european SPIII owner so I think he'll be fine with the ol' 2 units to one Mapsource product :thumb
