What is a Navigator II in Garmin Numbas I mean we all knew that the Streetpilot III was the Nav I

But I am buggered If I can remember what a Nav II was based on

I have the whole Sheebang off my 1200GS that I am gonna move on so that I can fund my airhead project but I have to do some research as to where to start pricewise on here or E bay ??

It's the StreetPilot 2610 I believe. Last of the non NT Garmin GPSRs, capable device for core GPS functionality but unfortunately the last year that mapping was available from Garmin for this was 2009 so progressively getting further and further out of date.

You can run OpenStreetMap mapping on it though, this is peer reviewed open source mapping and is about as current as you can get. There were a few minor, on the road, anomalies when I tried it out but easily overcome with a dash of common sense.

You believe correct. FWIW, my son bought a NavII a couple of years ago with CN V.6 maps for £85. That was a very good deal but I wouldn't describe it as a steal....:D
