OK let's accept it's not easy.
(a) The sunshine on the screen is not a significant problem with the NavIII. Now and again the sun may hit it, so as to make it difficult to read. There again, the sun can shine off the bodywork of cars, off the road or in your mirrors as well, making it difficult to see where you are going. It's just part of life.
(b) No idea why some are green. Maybe it's just an artist's mock-up in a picture? I can't remember what colour mine was, nor for my Zumo. Does it really matter? A friend has one but it's no good me asking him as he is colour blind.
(c) BuMW do a yoke based mounting bracket, or at least they did. Ask at your dealer or do a websearch. Mine came in the box, along with replacement (longer) handlebar clamp bolts. I cable tied it to my Blackbird, way before I had a BuMW. It worked quite well as a lash up on the Honda for about 30,000 miles.
I sold my yoke cradle to a bod on UKGSer as I couldn't get on with it on my vanilla 1200. Why? As I said before, I found it annoying (and not a little dangerous) to look down, re-focus, look up again, re-focus. I preferred it over the clocks (I bought a mount from a certain Dutchman, but he was apparently very naughty so we don't mention him any more). On my GSA, I had the NavIII mounted up high, using a mount from the bod in Belgium. I have my Zumo in the same place. But lots of people (inc. BuMW) sell different mounts.... and lots of people mount them differently. It's a personal thing, like underpants.
Hopefully that is all your daft questions answered.
