I've read lots of posts about the 660 Zumo some of which I guess apply, but am getting more confused. Im trying to use the Nav IV in a BMW cradle (on my KTM) and suspect I might hit some issues...

At moment I have a Garmin StreetPilot wired up via a autocom suppressor box and then a 3.5mm jack which feeds music from an Ipod into the Autocom. I have the powered BT dongle which is currently paired to a mobile. It all works! I want to simplify this and use the Navigator with the MP3 function.

1) I've heard the NAV IV cradle's leads don't carry stereo audio/phone and the cradle covers the audio port... so can I connect via the Autocom BT dongle for mp3 and phone?

2) Then hardwire the cradle into Aux 2 from the cradle (im guessing the plug with the brown/white wires is the +/_ for the mono audio for Nav?

3) BT pair my phone to the NAV IV. Will I get an auto mute problem and have to remove 221 from the Super Avi board? Can the Nav 4 handle two simultaneous BT connections?

4) Get power to the cradle via the black/red/purple wires into the plug.

Are there any Navigator looms about so I can use the existing plugs on the cradle so I can easily whip it off the bike if needs be?

Any advice much appreciated!

Buy a Garmin 660 cradle and it all fits together nice and easy, hence why I didn't buy a Nav 4 , loads of posts about it.

Thanks Shaun.

The cradle came free and I kinda like the buttons. The Nav 4 came with a K16 so trying to use what I have.

Thought I might try transferring the guts of a Garmin cradle to the Nav 4 if there isn't a straightforward answer!
