Hi All

I have come across a problem with my Navigator V and my mobile phone and just wondering if anyone else experienced a similar issues

I have the BMW Nav V, Sena SMH10 and Nokia Lumia 930

I have the phone paired to the Nav and the headset paired to the Nav. All the pairings happened with no problems.
I can hear music no problem and hear directions no problems and share music no problem.

However on the phone I get nothing. I can see an incoming call on the Nav but for the most part I hear no ringing (well it rings sporadically) and can accept the call on the Nav but then I can hear nothing though the calling party can hear me. If I make a call I hear no ring tone and cannot hear the personal that I called. The person that I am calling can sometimes hear me and sometimes not.

I have all available updates applied to the Sena, Nav 4 and Lumia so at a loss as to what next,

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Have you got another phone you can try it with? The Lumia is upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1? Nokia used their own implementation of Bluetooth on the Windows phone 8 and so there has been some inconsistency kicking around with Lumia's and BT connectivity.

I have the same set-up, except with an iPhone 5 (and subsequently an iPhone 6) and it all works perfectly

My setup is the same and I switch between an iPhone 6+ and a Sony Xperia Z3 without any issues, Lumia phones are much underated, but Nokia did mess with the bluetooth stack, in a good way for many applications, but maybe not for the Garmin.

Yeah, I tried a cheap and cheerful £10 Alcatel POP and that works just fine

Must be my Lumia :(

Hi All

I have replaced my Lumia and have the same problem.

I previously had a Garmin Zumo 660 and that worked just fine with the Lumia and Sena

:(

Have you checked the volume setting when making or receiving a call. Seriously, I had problems which turned out to be operator error! The phone seemed to have independent volume setting from music and nav directions.

I have a Nav IV, a Sena SNH5 and a Nokia Lumina 930. All work perfectly.

Not that it helps you. Sorry!

I have same problem with Nav V, air phone FX5 headset and iPhone 6!!! Any help would be good

Try to pair it differently. Pair both the nav and the phone to the headset. That way when you need to speak on the phone, answer or end a call, you tap the phone button, you also have the option then to switch between intercom and nav on the headset by tapping the jog dial.

If you have previously paired the phone to the headset it will automatically pair to the smh10 when switched on. You need to erase the pair settings by depressing the jog dial until you hear the voice for the settings menu. Turn the jog dial until you get to erase pair settings and press the jog dial to erase it. You may need to refer to your manual for a better explanation. Then start pairing the stuff from scratch.

I had that setup and the Zumo 600, never any issue. Its only the new Nav-V that has this issue

I have the phone paired to the Nav-V so that I can see who is calling and also that I can selectively call others.

I have checked absolutely everything that can be checked. There is definately an issue with the Nav-V

Also check out my other post. Garmin are aware.
