BMW Navigator V - USA Maps

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the USA map software for the Nav V

I have a Tom Tom for example and can just buy and download the USA maps onto a Micro SD card and install in the Tom Tom, the bingo I have full USA mapping

IS it this simple with the Nav V that comes with the GS ?

Check the Garmin website, download or SD card available.

It's still a Garmin device.

Do a search online & you may find a Garmin N America sd card cheaper than the Garmin site.

the open source ones work on other Garmin and proved fine my recent US hol. Can't speak for BMW branded variants....

Would have thought BMW would sell maps for other regions at an inflated prices
