Long shot, but don't suppose anyone has sets of pannier and frame locks for these "Touring style panniers ? See photo below.....
The panniers have the aluminium strip running around, not the later all plastic style.
I've just bought this( to join my turquoise PD) 100 GS PD 1994 vintage ( very Purple - think I'll call it Prince !), and it has panniers fitted, but no keys. Might be able to get keys from James Sherlock, but locks are pretty rough anyhow.

Bike is in great nick though :D

So, any suggestions or locks ?
Thank you:cool:

You can find the number of the key on the side of the latch when it is in the open position.
A trawl of the usual suppliers might turn up the keys.

Found the numbers in the locks, so I'll try Sherlocks(.....locks, oh never mind)..for spare keys.
And I think I detect a strong racist tendency of anti-purpleness.
The ALF will be advised, so you have been warned.

Hi Roger.

Nice clean example. (esp in colour).

I've just overhauled a set of these for my 80 ST. Sherlocks have got the keys by number. The silicone rubber seal in the alloy extrusion that seals the two halves, I took out as it was twisted and pinched in some places. I cleaned with IPA and then washed in hot soap water. Inserted a piece of suitable diameter O ring into the open ends and bonded with super glue. Cut out some small sections with pinch damage and joined back together again with the same method.
Used a black silicone cream for textured car bumpers to clean up the faded black plastic.

The elastic inside had stretched too far so I cut this out and replaced with 20mm black webbing joined together with 20mm ladderlocks. www.pennineoutdoor.co.uk.

What are your reflectors like?

I can get those from one of my contacts in Germany if you need to replace them.

btw. I'm just up the road from you in Kings Lynn.
