Thanks, that'd be handy. In fact any news on the course etc. would be much appreciated.

Just home from course today... f(beep beep beep)k awesome...

I decided in the end that wearing my everyday boots (and bike kit for that matter) on the course (and the Kawaski intro a few weeks before) was not in fact a great idea... so I ended up buying some Motocross Boots and Helmet a few weeks ago...

Lucky I did too... got through to the last 20mins of the course without an off, when the bike overbalanced on a slow and tricky little bit... bike fell on my right leg ended up pinned under the bike in a muddy rutt - I kid you not the boot saved me from a broken leg (just above the ankle) of that I have no doubt...

The course is great, they break you up into experience levels, and then go from there. I was lucky to be in a small group of experienced riders which resulted in my learning curve blasting into orbit... by this morning, morning of the 2nd day, we were doing stuff I didnt think was even possible on a bike, and especially with me controlling it - they will bring out the best in you. the instructor said he was pushing us way beyond normal level 1 because the group was coping... so be prepared, there is no easy ride, if you struggle they will stick with you, if you dont struggle, they find a way to help you struggle... so, SO, rewarding! those friggin bikes are phenomenal especially the 1200 which I tested today after riding a 650 for the course.

Back to point... if you need kit you can hire it and I didnt hear one complaint or gripe, but I am now an advocate of Motocross boots on this course... if you are going to more than just one course, and you can afford it, perhaps its best to invest in your own pair. Either way enjoy the course OMG enjoy the course and stay at the Abercrave - makes the course dinner much more fun.

Thank you for the update. I'll be taking your advice and will probably hire gear rather than buy it, as this is most likely the only time I'll get the chance to do the course.

I'm pleased you had a great time and am really looking forward to August, if anyone's interested, I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks again for remembering to tell me how it went.:clap
