Received a newsletter from them today, There are going to be testrides available on bikes from the current range including the new F800GS and F650 GS.

Bug*er, am doing a course on that date with i2i - Might get along after if they open later? :blast

I HAD A TEST RIDE LAST WEEK AND ENJOYED THE WHOLE OF THE 2HR + RIDE :clap
I HEADED UP TO HEMSLEY THE OVER TO HOVERINGHAM/WHITTWELL THEN UP TO SEAWAYS FOR A COOL DOWN + A WET. I DID NOT STOP LAFFING ALL AFTERNOON ON THE WAY HOME. FOR TALL BIKE IT HANDLES WELL ON THE ROAD.
FEELS LIKE A 250 ON SEROIDES :eek:
 
Well there's little point in him having a GSA on demo as he does all he can to talk you out of buying one

He's an ignorant git, broke off part way through a conversation to talk to another customer who'd just bought a packet of bolts whilst I was trying to broker a deal on a new GSA!

Needless to say his loss was another dealers gain:blast
 
I agree with Big nick almost exactly the same thing happened to be 8 years ago. Will NEVER go back to him, it's Jefferies for me.

You should always be wary of a smiling salesman. Bought two bikes from Barrie Robson, K1200RS and R1200RT, always found him totally honest in his deals and the after sales superb. Also bought one from Harvey's (shite since Richard left) R1150RT (oh I miss that bike) and the latest from Jeffries, R1200GSA (equally good after sales)

I agree totally about beware of smiling salesman. I have used Barrie - as well as Rainbow - for the past thirteen years and found them superb.

Barrie has always been frank and very fair in all my dealings with him. I am not easily satisfied but would recommend Barrie Robson and his staff to anyone.

I hear you had a good ride around the seven biker cafes what was that? was that an organised trip?

Hi Neil

It's the i2i Motorcycle Academy their website is here I'm doing their 1st course in Machine Control. Copy of bumph attached. They were training partners with North Yorks 95 Alive campaign and the recommend came from Dave Dodson who signed me off on my Advanced last year. He spoke very highly of them and if a Class 1 copper/IAM examiner was impressed, I thought I'd check them out.

The Cafes run was good yep. We did Dunns in Otley to Squires, Seaways, Helmsley, Masham. Hawes, Devil's Bridge and back to Dunn's. Avoiding major roads where poss. A long day but good despite the crappy roads round here with that sodding pipeline. A mate organised it and I used it as a try out for the new sat nav too. All good.

I'm gonna try and get along to Team 5 for the week after next so will see you there. My nomination for the team name is Yamsters by the way!

Sounds good, both the 121 (looks like an Advanced, Advance Course) and the 7 cafes ride--I will have to speak to Redstan to see if he is up for it one Sunday.

We are looking to go to Matlock Bath, etc, in the near future for a Sunday ride out subject to decent weather maybe this Sun, if you are interested.

Hi Neil

Well a lot will depend on Mrs Hooky and how far I can push my time with 'my other love'. As you know Jayne loves getting out n the bike too so I might be in luck. Any road up see you next Saturday (21st) for a run out.

Unfortunately an idiot in an Astra pulled out of Church Lane into the side of Jayne's car as she was on her way back home and whilst there isn't a mssive amount of damage she's quite shaken by it. So I'll be pottering around home with her tomorrow but we've neither been to Matlock and would be up for it another time.

Tried to PM you but you're set not to receive them.

See next Sat all being well.

I won't be around this coming weekend as off to the Farmyard to chill out and have a few beers.

Stan also had other things on at the weekend but what about a trip out to Matlock the week after, Sunday 28th?

This is all just as well cos I aren't fir to be let out on my own. I've got my dates mixed up. It's the 28/29th I'm free to play so it will be Team 5 on Sat and possibly a trip out Sunday too depending. I really want to put in an appearance at YAM cos I've been neglecting em and need to get my tenners worth for this year :augie
