Just back. Loads of you have done it and I'm sure there have been tonnes of "reviews" so shan't go on, other than to say it was brilliant.
Got put in the "advanced" (ha ha) group, but was about second from slowest of that so was always trying to hang on to them, which was tough.
Also, managed to pick the two hottest days of the year. Got heat stroke on Sun afternoon (as opposed to dehydration) - body temp just off the scale and blinding headaches/odd speech, so Pavey took me down to the waterfall for a shower. That worked - can still feel the cold now.
One crash on Sunday, six (count 'em) yesterday. Bit battered today. Did it on a 1200.
Anyway, if you don't know about it, do it. Even if you've no interest in off-road you'll be doing things on a bike you didn't know you were capable of and it can only help road riding but, more than that, it's a fantastic two days and great for confidence.
