Hello to everyone! i want to ask if someone knows from where can i buy special tools for my bmw r-1200 gs. I live in Greece and dealers here dont want to sell special tools to a private person. any ideas from Europe? thanks in advance.

hello to everyone! i need the measuring tool 332612 to check the backlash of the final drive from my 2006 R-1200 GS, and the pin wrench 331711. Any ideas from where can i buy them?

Hello Greece!

If they are standard BuMW workshop tools, with a BUMW part number, you should be able to buy them from any BuMW parts department.

For instance, I bought the alternator belt tool for my 1200GSA from BuMW in Battersea, London. They had to order it in, which is not surprising, but it arrived in a few days.

I guess with the current rate of exchange betwen the euro and sterling it may be cheaper but you will have to add postage of course.

If you like, I could call Battersea to see if they can order the parts and how much they are. You could then see if it is a worthwhile thing to do.

I had to speak to BuMW about something else, so I asked them for you.

Part no. 332612 GBP 120 including VAT

Part no. 331711 GBP 70 including VAT

Total GBP 190 including VAT

Posatge to Greece would be extra, of course.

They will have to be specialy ordered, which is no problem.

They go from the manufacturer's factory, to BuMW (Germany), to BuMW's warehouse in UK, to BuMW in Battersea, London. It could take, say, three weeks, perhaps?

Any good?
