!Hey folks,
I’ve still got a few camel foot side-stand enlargers left from the last small batch — available for the BMW R1200GS (K25) & Adv. and the Yamaha Ténéré 700 / World Raid.
To keep the price reasonable, I had a couple extras made beyond the pre-orders, so there are a few sets up for grabs.
If you haven’t seen the thread (or don’t feel like scrolling through the whole adventure), these are side-stand enlargers inspired by the rugged foot of a real Mongolian Bactrian camel.

A must-have for any long-distance trip!
These are based on my Camel foot side-stand enlarger for the BMW R 1200 GS (LC) — the same one that took a mate and me more than 25,000 km, from southern Germany all the way to Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East.
From scorching gravel roads toward Kabul, over 4,660 meter passes in the heart of the Pamir mountains, across the endless windswept Mongolian steppe, and even along frozen Siberian highways — the Camel foot kept our bikes planted like a rock every single time we stopped on soft ground.

With 3M Safety-Walk anti-slip material on the bottom of the base plate.

Installation
Just clamp it onto the original side-stand foot, tighten the bolts – done!
And of course, it includes the jingiin khonkh – the traditional caravan bell for your side stand.

HI MIkeHi @Hoff,
my standard camel foot fits the F650GS Twin, but unfortunately those are all sold out at the moment.
I’ve received some feedback and I’m currently making a few small tweaks, but I should definitely have new ones ready again by the end of February.
If you like, I can put you on a pre-order list?
Cheers and happy New Year,
Mike
Hi MikeHi Paul,
for the matte-black camel foot I used to charge €30 plus shipping. However, that price was based on manufacturing costs from about half a year ago.
I can’t promise I’ll be able to offer it again at exactly €30, since my fabricator may have increased prices as well — but if it does go up, it should only be slightly.
Cheers and all the best for the New Year,
Mike
Thanks Mike. Actually I was thinking the situation was different. I thought the issue with a lowered Adventure was that the side was not different to the standard and so often it has an issue on the side stand leaning into a camber. If that were to be the case I thought the problem would be that the camel foot would foul the ground more often......Hi @DorsetRider,
Happy New Year!
I can’t say for sure whether the camel foot fits the factory-lowered GS, as those bikes come with a shorter side stand. Because of that, the camel foot (and actually most other side-stand enlargers as well) can potentially hit the footpeg when folded up.
Since the Adventure has more ground clearance, it’s possible that even with the shorter stand there’s still enough length to avoid any interference with the footpeg.
If you like, you can send me a photo of the side stand in the folded position via PM, and I’ll be able to judge it much better.
Cheers,
Mike

I'll get some measurements and photos for you.
