Not completely sure I want to sell this and am certainly not in a rush but I'll post and see how I feel as I go on. If it didn't sell quickly I'd not be upset!
So I'm thinking of selling my r100gs PD. Bought from this forum a few months ago. Previous owners from this parish. Id had a break from riding due to having a young family and lack of time . I bought this bike as I'd always wanted my dream bike a PD and hoped this would be my gateway back into bikes but if I'm truly honest I still just don't have time and family finances are still tight.
So now we've got the small violins out onto the bike.
1996 PD Classic r100gs
Imported in 2005 from Germany (some paperwork from German owner is present)
64,671 miles (still being used but very little) original clocks
The bike is in both amazing condition and running order and I'll go into why below.
Has original BMW panniers and keys,books etc.
UPGRADES
Upgraded t tech rear suspension. Rides like a magic carpet
Front brake upgrade so is able to actually stop!
Recent valve adjustment fluid service and tyres all good.
Huge pile of receipts .
2019- top end rebuild done by Charlie at Overland and classics - all receipts present
New battery and charging system
MOT Nov 2025.
June 2025- complete new clutch and other work done by Charlie at overland and classics. Everything that was recommended to be done I had done including carb balance etc. (work can be seen on the pics)
The bike has nothing left to do, starts on the button and rides beautifully . The bike wants for nothing and has had over £3000 spent on it since 2019. A friend of mine rode the bike 2 weeks ago and commented that it was smoother than his tenere 700!
Ok onto the business part!
I'd like £6750
for the bike which is quite a bit less than I paid for it plus the work I've had done.
