Does any one know how if the interior of the rear muffler of an r100gs exhaust?

Some photos would be nice...

I saw some photos but it was from a 1150cc bike

Hi Bernardo The translation didn't come out correctly.

What were you asking for? A photo of the inside of a rear muffler?
or What other type of muffler fits a R100GS?

Heheeh

I don’t use translators but obviously I had my eyes closed when I sent that message last night! :)

I will try again:

Does anyone know how the interior of the rear muffler is? (r100gs)

I found some photos of a muffler interior but it was from a 1150cc bike

You don't have to cut them open to remove the baffle.........they do it themselves eventually :D :D :D

On a serious note, what did you want to do to the muffler?

i can attest to that. Most of mine ended up on the floor after removing, shaking & turning on its end. Now there's just a big bit that rattles nicely:D

my one has just rusted out in just under 2years so its off to get its 2rd part welded.
it be quicker to cut along the welding

hello
“On a serious note, what did you want to do to the muffler?”

-First of all is academic curiosity. (how does it work)
-to “free flow” the exhaust gases a bit to improve low torque, without messing with the looks. I would prefer to switch the collector box but the results are not obvious. -Reducing some weight would also be nice

Ehehee I know that from personal experience!

The simplest way to do this is with a hole saw (19mm?) on a long extension, go in through the tail pipe and cut several holes through the rear baffle plate. It won't make a huge difference but reduces the restriction. With a bit more banging and crashing you can break off the complete baffle plate (so what if it falls back into the muffler, it rattles anyway :D) A magnet on a telescopic handle is useful as is a single LED torch on a flexible extension. I think Beemerboff has done a similar modification -Oz ingenuity  :D

And in the inlet side? is the front buffer plate accessible? That’s why I would like to see a diagram of the inside of the muffler
