I am struggling to get the front brakes bled on a RT. This is the setup and not sure if it is correct as I have never seen a bleeding nipple at this end

Is this correct or what should it look like :nenau

It is all new s/s braided hoses etc and have an idea some air gets in/our through the nipple. It does not seem to build up any pressure.

Thanks :beerjug:

Is there a nipple at the caliper end too? If so buy a big syringe and a bit of pipe and push the fluid from the bottom to the top - this always works for me... But I ain't no expert! :)

Yes two calipers on the wheel and I tried to old pump and bleed method followed by the pump and swear method. Had the mityvac on it but think my mityvac is stuffed :eek Never tried the syringe method before.

Bleed the fluid to the nipple at the joint then you should have no problem JJH

take lid off master cylinder

Look in You will see two holes

One is larger than the other and to the lever side

T'other is a wee "bleed" hole and IF it is blocked you won't get the brakes bled, End off BUT be careful poking stuff in there in case you brake the end off it

Gently with a sewing needle to start it and increase size unless you have a BOC nozzle jet cleaning kit

Did it work at all Dirk?

For brake pipes you have there you should have a double banyo bolt like this

Nope not at all, I will order one of those double banjo bolts as it looks more sensible :thumb2

What is the correct size for the banjo bolts?

The reservoir was blocked originally but I put some air on it and cleaned it out systematically until it cleared. It just would not build up pressure and think the top setup is not working properly.

Thanks for the help chaps :beerjug:
