Hi everyone!
Hope this is the correct forum to post this question in.

I have a problem with my BMW R1100 RT from 1999. The headlight seems to be stuck with the high beam on all the time. There’s nothing wrong with the bulb itself, and I’ve also checked all the relays I can find and they are intact (I’ve also been told that there shouldn’t be a relay for high/low beam, but I don’t know if that’s correct).
Is there anyone here who has had a similar issue or who is particularly knowledgeable about this BMW model?
As I understand it, the problem seems to be located in the “control unit/wiring box” on the left side of the handlebar, where a wire may have a bad connection, or possibly the wire itself is damaged somewhere along the way from the source to the headlight. I

Would really appreciate any help or input I can get. Thank you in advance

test your feeds

Brown is Ground

White is High Beam

Yellow / white is low beam

If you are getting two supplying 12V positive power at the same time It's "likely" a handlebar switch or loom connector shorting to the other

If you are getting positive on only Hi or Lo beam connector when selected from the switch then it is likely an internal short in the bulb !

Thank you for the tip. I will test it out. Hopefully it will get sortet out.
