I was writing about it in my previous thread. I bought a neglected R1150R in Jan this year I have managed to:clean and de-rust the bike, change plugs, oils and oil filter (do not think she has been ever serviced before!) It all seemed ok until I changed oil in the engine, tranny and shaft drive. The bike has done 23500miles. There is a funny noise coming (I am not even sure where from!) when riding slowly with neutral throttle. Its more pronounced in third gear. It started following oil change. The advice that I received so far is to ignore it and continue riding the bike. I find the noise really annoying and this spoils my riding experience big time! I wonder if there is anybody in Hampshire/South-East who knows much more about those bikes than me who can have a listen and advise? I am in Southampton but happy to travel.

hi, I am in Fair Oak Eastleigh. If you're riding too slowly in any gear, the rear wheel backlash becomes pronounced.

thank you so much for your help, Trevor! And I will not be riding my bike without mirrors. I promise! :-)

Just out of interest, what was the issue? All sorted now?
